when you look up the sky at night, you recognise ursa major (buyuk ayi) ... everybody knows that it is stewpot on the night sky ... But Ursa Major constellation is not look like a stewpot, if you change your position as the picture. Distance between Alkaid and Alioth is 120 ly in Ursa Major constellation.

Hello,

Today I tell 2 my favourite places in Toulouse France, CAFFE KOBA and Pont Neuf bridge... Caffe KOBA is in Place Saint Georges... My wife and Me really like this caffe. it is one of the our favourite place... I found the picture of caffe Koba on google map street... : ) and we listened the song there which will be on offline radio taday ... : ))

Second place is Pont Neuf bridge... it is so spacial bridge for me ... I proposed my wife on middle of the bridge ... here it is location on google earth :)

Today, I am talk about Supergalactic Coordinats System...

So how we define an object's 3 dimensional position within deep space.

Supergalactic X, supergalactic Y, and supergalactic Z coordinates usually have units of mega light years (MLY). The coordinates of galaxies relatively close to Earth are sometimes given in units of light years (ly). One MLY (mega Light Year) equals one million light year.

Light year: a light-year is the distance that light travels in vacuum in one year...
1ly = It is approximately 9 trillion kilometres (or about 6 trillion miles)

The supergalactic X and supergalactic Y axes are both in the plane of the supergalactic equator (and perpendicular to each other), while the supergalactic Z axis is perpendicular to this plane

So what do a galaxy’s supergalactic coordinates tell us? Two key things:
1 - its distance from the sun,
2 - its position relative to the supergalactic equator.

For exapmle: we can say the Triangulum galaxy supergalactic X,Y,Z, coordinates as (2.372,-1.456,0.004) MLY (mega light years)

As I said yesterday I try to explain in deep space little bit...

Let me start distance of Galaxies...

"Everything moving away from everything else..."

Galaxies is the most further objects in the deep space... How to calculate the distance of the Galaxies? Galaxies which are moving toward us will produce a light curve that is slightly bluer than usual, while galaxies moving away from us will be slightly redder. This phenomenon is known DOOPLER SHIFT, and specific case of object appearing redder because they are moving from us is known as "redshift".

Scientists can calculate the speed of any galaxy in this way. With the exception of a few galaxies close to our Milky Way, we find that ALL galaxies are moving away from us. The reason behind this is the overall expansion of the universe, everything moving away from everything else. In fact, faster galaxy is moving away from us, the farther away it is, For every million light years of distance a galaxy will move away from us 23 kilometres/second faster. So galaxy 10 million years distance moves away from us at speed of 230 kilometres/seconds, while a galaxy twice as fast, 460 km/second. We can use this technique to measure the distance to galaxies.

Good morning,

Last week i suspend my facebook account for a while...
Do you want to know why? Let me try to explain ...
First of all, i realize that the pictures such as "cat" or location posts are getting more trending than everything else to my friends... For example, I developed a App for kids, name is Paint Me .. I post the game on facebook last week, but almost 3 or 4 friends mantioned on this post.. I mean, the post get less trending than cat's pictures...
Another thing is, facebook is so crowded place anymore... my facebook friends has at least more than 300 friends and they have selected 200 once as a "close friend".... so it so diffucult to see your post into the 200... And "closed friends" becomes meaningless.... Isnt it?

p.s: Tomorrow I will talk about a deep space... do not miss it ... it is so cool information that I will give.... Such as how to calculate distance of galaxies...
